Plus de 20 R5 seront au départ de cette Rallye du Condroz avec on le sait Stéphane Lefebvre qui essayera de garder son titre (2019) face à une meute de pilotes Belges qui seront là pour se partager la victoire avec en De Mévius, Bedoret, Princens ou encore Cherrain ou Potty !

Avec 107 équipages, cette 47ème édition du Rallye du Condroz a belle allure, avec un « mix » intéressant entre voitures de pointe, coupes de promotion, GT, propulsions spectaculaires, historiques et « tractions »… Ces 107 équipages sont rassemblés sous la bannière du BRC (Belgian Rally Championship) et ne sont donc pas répartis, comme dans d’autres épreuves du calendrier, entre BRC, Criterium et autres VHRS.
Pour la victoire, 6 noms se détachent du lot : Stephane Lefebvre (Citroën C3), vainqueur des deux dernières éditions, Adrian Fernémont (Skoda Fabia), le champion en titre et récent vainqueur du Rallye de Wallonie, Grégoire Munster (Hyundai i20), double vainqueur à l’East Belgian Rally et au Sezoens, Ghislain De Mevius (Skoda Fabia) lui aussi double vainqueur cette année, au South Belgian Rally et à l’Omloop van Vlaanderen. Ces trois-là sont en pleine bagarre pour le titre de champion de Belgique. A ceux-là, il faut rajouter, sans hésitation, Sébastien Bedoret (Skoda Fabia), malchanceux depuis le début de la saison, mais qui a prouvé sa pointe de vitesse. Enfin, même en ne disputant pas la totalité de la saison, Cédric Cherain, ancien vainqueur ici au Condroz (2015), a retrouvé son rythme après ses participations au Sezoens Rally et au RMC de Jalhay. A côté de ces 6 pilotes, plusieurs outsiders de choix auront voix au chapitre : Vincent Verschueren (VW Polo), toujours en lice pour le titre et qui a trouvé les bons réglages pour sa voiture, Cedric De Cecco (Citroën C3), qui prend la mesure de sa monture et qui a prouvé son aisance et sa rapidité sur le terrain hutois, Kris Princen, double vainqueur à Huy, auteur d’un début de saison en demi-teinte, mais qui a troqué sa Citroën contre une Skoda avec laquelle il sera sans doute plus à l’aise. Et il ne faut pas négliger Pieterjanmichiel Cracco (Skoda Fabia), qui reste sur une super prestation au Rallye d’Ypres et Xavier Bouche (qui a troqué en dernière minute sa Skoda Fabia pour une VW Polo), toujours au rendez-vous à Huy, mais qui manquera sans doute de « roulage » pour suivre le rythme infernal des premiers.
Avec 23 voitures de la catégorie Rally 2, le plateau est somptueux. Et on surveillera avec beaucoup d’attention les « seconds couteaux», à commencer par Bastien Rouard Rallye (Ford Fiesta), très régulier et bien en jambes. Outre Henri Schmelcher (Hyundai i20) et Nico Stampaert (Ford Fiesta) déjà vus à plusieurs reprises cette année, les « régionaux » seront à la fête : Maxime Potty (Ford Fiesta) pourrait bien créer la surprise avec l’expérience acquise entre autres sur les rallyes français. Emmanuel Gonay (Citroën C3), Steve Fernandes (Skoda Fabia) et Etienne Monfort (Skoda Fabia) renouvellent leur expérience de ce type de voiture et ne pourront augmenter leur rythme. Découverte par contre pour John Wartique (Ford Fiesta), Jean-frédéric Colignon (Ford Fiesta), Cedric Verhees (Citroën C3), et Cedric Busin (Skoda Fabia) qui devront prendre confiance dans leur monture avant de pouvoir prétendre à rivaliser avec les pilotes plus expérimentés. Mais on le sait au Condroz, tout est toujours possible…
En RGT, une seule Porsche est au départ, mais Romain Delhez a prouvé qu’il sait la dompter. Sur ce terrain, il ne faut pas espérer jouer avec les voitures de la catégorie Rally2, mais le spectacle sera au rendez-vous. Stefaan Prinzie (Alpine A110) lui disputera la victoire dans la catégorie, avec Chris VanDamme (Alpine) et Luc Caprasse (Fiat Abarth 124) en arbitre. Côté spectacle, les « propulsions » seront également au rendez-vous : Patrick de Baluwe et Frédéric François (Ford Escort), Loic Pirot, Olivier Renaud, Didier Vanwijnsberghe et Tom Ceuppens (BMW) devraient assurer leur part de spectacle.
La Stellantis Cup présente une belle brochette de pilotes : Thibaut Mazuin (Peugeot 208 Rally 4) vise avant tout le titre en junior tout comme Charles Munster (Opel Corsa Rally 4). Pour la victoire dans la Stellantis Cup, ils devront surveiller de très près Gino Bux (Peugeot 208) et Fred Caprasse (Peugeot 208). Jonas de Wilde (Peugeot 208) et Anthony Martin (Peugeot 208) seront également de la partie.
En Renault Clio Trophy, c’est le dernier rendez-vous de la saison. Gilles Pyck et Benoit Verlinde visent le titre (avec trois rallyes en Renault Clio Rally4 à la clé) alors que Tom Rensonnet vise lui surtout
